Jude 1:22-23 KJV – And of some have compassion, making a difference:  And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.  To rescue is to bring one into safety.  This is what the writer had in mind when he encouraged us to rescue others from the pitfalls of sin and unbelief.  Our rescue mandate not only involves responding to the spiritual needs of individuals but also providing practical support. This means reaching out to those who are struggling, offering counsel, prayer, and perhaps tangible assistance. It is about being present and showing up with the love of Christ.

Anyone can participate in a “Rescue Mission” by responding compassionately to those in need.  Every believer has a role to play in the vast opportunities we encounter daily. By fostering a community of support and accountability, we can help those in need while growing stronger in our faith.

Ultimately, rescue mission is about embodying the teachings of Christ and living out His command to love our neighbors as ourselves. It is a call to action, urging us to step beyond our comfort zones and into the lives of those who need us most. Through these efforts, we can witness profound transformations, both in the lives of those we serve and within our own hearts.  Our communities will see and know that we are Christians because of our love one to another.
